Welcome to Ramat Hanadiv! At the southern end of Mount Carmel, between Zikhron Ya’akov and Binyamina, lies Ramat Hanadiv – a natural ge m dedicated to the memory of Baron Edmond de Rothschild. Ramat Hanadiv’s vision aspires to create a balance between man and nature. As perhaps the most researched and carefully managed open space in Israel, it serves as an outdoor laboratory for scientific research and educational projects on the environment, and as a venue for extensive recreational activity. The integration of those varied functions makes Ramat Hanadiv unique in Israel. Ramat Hanadiv invites visitors to enjoy the Gardens, the Nature Park, and the Visitors Pavilion. Things to See We invite you to enjoy the serene ambience of the Memorial Gardens. Follow the paths leading through meticulously designed, traditional European gardens and enjoy the beauty and fragrance of the seasonal flowers. At the heart of the Gardens lies the crypt of the Baron Edmond de Rothschild, 'the well-known benefactor' and 'Father of the Yishuv', and his wife Adelheid. The Ramat Hanadiv Memorial Gardens serve as a tribute to his dignified and modest heritage. The Nature Park offers visitors a wide ran ge of opportunities for leisure and enjoyment. Walking trails of varying levels of difficulty have been marked. The trails, studded with spectacular vantage points, offer views of Mediterranean scenery, archaeological sites and a hidden spring. At the entrance to the Gardens, take a moment to stop at the Visitors Pavilion, the first building in Israel to receive certification of adherence to ‘Green Building’ standards. The structure blends into and has minimal impact on its surroundings. In the Theatre, a film entitled ‘Beyond the Gardens’ presents the story of Ramat Hanadiv.
